This two-day course on cluster administration in Proxmox VE provides participants with in-depth knowledge of cluster configuration, high availability and security measures, clustering, architecture, resource management, storage, troubleshooting and migration from VMware to Proxmox VE. Day 1: Clustering basics and high availability
Setting up a Proxmox VE cluster: concepts / architecture / technology
- Introduction to clustering in Proxmox VE.
- Cluster architecture, roles and communication between nodes.
- CRUSH maps and their importance for load distribution.
Hardware requirements for cluster installation
- Specification of the necessary hardware for a cluster solution.
- Redundant hardware and its configuration for failover.
Proxmox VE cluster: features / settings / configuration / administration
- Installation and basic cluster configuration.
- Cluster resource management and conflict resolution.
Synchronization and consistency of data between nodes.
- High Availability (HA) - HA Manager Proxmox VE and corosync.
- HA Manager configuration and Corosync role in the cluster.
- Failover scenarios and strategies to minimize downtime.
- Creating HA groups and prioritizing services.
Advanced authentication methods and user management
