The ITIL® 4 scheme consists of two streams:
ITIL® Managing Professional
ITIL® Strategic Leader
For whom the individual modules are intended:
- ITIL® Managing Professional is for all IT specialists and managers who directly implement IT, i.e. they are in development, in operation, architects, security guards, consultants.
- ITIL® Strategist is designed for top management who create IT strategy. For managers who make strategic decisions about how IT will work - what investments will be approved, how the organizational structure will be set.
ITIL® 4 Certification Scheme
ITIL® Managing Professional
To be an ITIL® Managing Professional (ITIL® MP), you must complete three ITIL® Specialist modules and one ITIL® Strategist.

- ITIL® 4 Strategist: Direct, Plan and Improve is about improvement.
ITIL® Strategic Leader
To achieve the ITIL® Strategic Leader certification, you must have at least 3 years of experience in IT management, the ITIL 4 Foundation certification and pass the ITIL® Strategist and ITIL® Leader modules.
